Read what people are saying about Dr Chris and Calm For Surgery e-book

I have enjoyed reading Dr Chris Bonney’s book “Calm For Surgery supertips for a smooth recovery”. I found it very easy to read as it explained in layman’s terms the step-by-step process involved in having an anaesthetic for surgery. This book will provide an excellent patient resource to prepare patients in advance for elective surgery. I think the combination of good humour and comprehensive information demystifies the process and promotes understanding. When patients’ understanding of anaesthetic options and techniques increases, it has the flow-on effect of empowering patients to give informed consent. In our present society, patients have higher expectations about being involved in decision-making around their health and wellbeing.

A real strength of this book is the way in which research-based self-help options have been incorporated and presented as viable options to the reader.  This, along with the ‘supertips’ at the end of each chapter, means that not only is this book informative but the information is easily accessible.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this book to any of my patients or indeed anyone who had questions about an up and coming anaesthesia associated with a surgical procedure.

Yours faithfully,

I am very happy to give this reference to Chris Bonney. We have been working together for the last two years and it has always been a great pleasure. He treats his patients with real care and understanding while at the same time working fast and efficiently and providing me as the surgeon with excellent conditions to work. In his book Feel Good After Surgery he describes in detail the methods he uses to provide his patients with the best anesthetic possible. I would not hesitate to recommend him as the anesthesiologist for any operation you might have to undergo. I am sure that you will benefit greatly from the resources he can provide you with to have a wonderful operative experience!

It is quite an extraordinary book Dr Bonney presents here. It provides you with all the important extra details that are most often not mentioned in pre-operative interviews due to lack of time or simply because doctors sometimes take some information so much for granted, that they simply do not think it must be mentioned. If you look for up-to-date information that puts your mind at ease before an operation, look no further. Very helpful book indeed, and an entertaining read as well!
